Daily email backup with Mail Time Machine

Have you ever despaired for accidentally deleting one or more messages from your mailbox?

How does it work?

Every day at midnight, our systems make a backup of all our users’ email accounts through NetApp’s Snapshot technology, and keep a copy of the data for 15 days.

What can I do with Mail Time Machine?

Once logged in using the same credentials as your email account, select the number of days that you want to go back to. Then, you can:

• Consult the mail received/sent on your email account that day;
• Download individual email messages in EML format;
• View the message sources;
• Request a recovery.

How can I recover deleted messages?

If it’s a few messages, you can download them individually in EML format by following this simple procedure:

1. Select the message(s) to be recovered;
2. Right-click on the message
3. Click on Download

If, on the other hand, you have deleted a large number of messages or entire folders, you can recover the entire contents of the email account by contacting us and inquiring about Restoration.

To request a reset:

1. Log in to the Mail Time Machine
2. Check and select the date on which the messages were present
3. Click Request Restore

At this point, the admin must access the control panel > Restore requests and choose whether to confirm or reject the operation.
